Spotted: Mademoiselle Marie — Part Nine

On aesthetics alone, Marie's mani silver glitter gelicure is out of this world. I know I have a penchant for glitter (and it IS glitter month) but I'd be pleased to post this, no matter the theme. It's lovely.

And then you lock in on the accent nail. It's holographic! Not holographic glitter. She's sporting actual holograms. And when I hear "hologram," obviously only one thing springs to mind.
A dear friend of mine is what we'll call a "spring chicken." More like a "spring chick." I tried to explain the storyline of Jem and it sounded so crazy, I just quit while I was ahead. That aside, this manicure is something that any of The Holograms would have rocked for sure.

Spotted: Mademoiselle Marie — Part Eight

Well, the month is nearly halfway over and I realized that I forgot to tell you...

...that I came up with a theme for my January posts!

It wasn’t technically deliberate. I was coming up with my Nail Planz for the month and it seemed like almost everything was revolving around…

GLITTER.

So, last week brought you Marie’s (and my!) Red Sparkle Mani plus Alpha’s Gobs of Gold Glitter. And we can't forget Whiskey's Snow Globe Mani.

Between now and the end of January, you can expect four (yes, four) more glitter-centric manicures, modeled by moi. And did I mention that two of these will feature HTFs?! (That’s “hard to find,” if you’re new to the nail blogger lingo.)

We’ll also talk about the various types of glitter, which of course leads us to the best way to get all that glitter off!

For today, I shall leave you with another one of Marie’s marvelous manicures. And yeah... there's glitter.

One of my 2012 goals is to pony up the cash for my very first gelicure at Marie's Nails! Aside from being on the pricey side, I can't think of a color I'd want on my nailz for two weeks straight... unless I went on a glamorous vacation and wanted a way to keep my nails pristine without worrying about maintenance... Hmm.
